About us

Primary Care 24 is a Social Enterprise, delivering a range of Urgent and Primary care services to over 1.6 million people across Halton, Liverpool, Knowsley, St Helens, South Sefton, Southport and Formby and Warrington.

Who we are

Primary Care 24 (PC24) is a not-for-profit social enterprise established in 2004, predominately delivering NHS contracts.

The majority of our surplus is reinvested in patients and colleagues. We believe that primary healthcare should be accessible for everyone and are committed to delivering the best quality care we can, challenging social exclusion and working locally, where and when we can, to support our communities. We combine the best of the NHS with social enterprise innovation, developing solutions for NHS primary care and caring for our clinicians so that they can, in turn, care for our patients.

Our Mission

To deliver care that never stops, ensuring continuous, accessible, and responsive health services for all members of our community, every hour of every day.

What we do: the services we deliver

We provide both Urgent and Primary Care services, ranging from GP Out of Hours to GP Practices and Community services.

Our values shape who we are as an organisation.

They guide how we work, what we stand for, and the experience we want every patient to have when they come to PC24.

To make sure our values truly reflect what matters to our people, we involved colleagues from across the organisation in a series of engagement activities. Everyone had the opportunity to share their views and vote for the values they felt were most important.

Today, these values are woven into our branding and everyday practice. We keep them visible to remind our teams and reassure our patients of the principles that define who we are.
